Andy Cohen is always in his daddy era â but maybe now more than ever.
During Cohenâs Wednesday, October 29, appearance on the âCall Her Daddyâ podcast, host Alex Cooper commented on his longer hair, which led into a conversation about the Watch What Happens Live hostâs recent transformation.
âI, also, this summer lost some weight. I think that when your face is thinner, you can carry off longer hair better,â Cohen, 57, said, explaining that heâs âdoing everythingâ after going on a bit of a health journey.
âIn May, I couldnât button my suits. I was kind of at an all-time high and I didnât feel good about myself,â he continued. âIâm someone who usually feels pretty damn good about myself.â
Cohen explained that he was âeating everythingâ before going on his weight loss journey.
âI have kids,â he added. âMy son is like, âYeah, I donât want any more mac and cheese.â And Iâm like, âWell, Iâll finish it.â Like, waffles and letâs all get ice cream and burgers. I was like a hoover. I was hoovering food. Itâs so bad. No self-control.â
Being at work didnât keep him from snacking either.
âThen at Watch What Happens Live, âOh, Andy, this chocolate chip cookie company sent you this huge thing.â Then, I have two tequilas on the show and Iâm like, âWhereâs that cookie?ââ Cohen said. âI was a psycho. I was just a psycho.â
Not only does Cohen look good after his slimdown, but he said that he feels âgreatâ at this point in his life.
âIâm not going anywhere,â Cohen said when talking about continuing his career. Cooper chimed in, adding, âYou lost the weight. You got your long hair. Youâre looking sexy. Youâre here to stay.â
Elsewhere in the episode, the Bravo boss also discussed his decision to briefly try a GLP-1 while on his health journey.
âThis summer, I microdosed a GLP-1 and I immediately talked about it when I came back from break after Labor Day,â he said. âI was like, âI will be the hypocrite of the universe for not saying this,â because of every question Iâve asked [Housewives].â
He revealed his experience with using the drug during a September episode of SiriusXMâs Radio Andy.
âGiven that for 20 years I have been asking people about their body regimens and that Iâve been pretty vocal about every time I go on a diet,â he said, âI do think it would be completely hypocritical not to share that I did this summer lose a good chunk of weight by micro-dosing a GLP-1 all summer.â
Cohen shared that he was âreally unhappyâ with his weight at the time, but it was about more than just looks. He was also worried about âplaque in my arteries and high blood pressureâ as he got older.
âIt really helped me with cravings, which I was having a very hard time with, and really forcing myself to be more disciplined with my diet and with working out,â Cohen added. âI am on a pretty rigorous health journey.â
