General Hospital sees Ava Jerome (Maura West) in deep trouble for bashing Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) in the head. But Ava is not going to go down without taking Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) with her.
We’re going to talk about how Ava and Kristina may need to work together to handle Ric, assuming he is dead, and keeping each other’s dirty secrets is going to be part of it.
General Hospital: Ava Jerome Snaps
Recently, we saw Ava storm over to Alexis Davis‘s (Nancy Lee Grahn) house, ready to rant at the lady lawyer and demand more money. I’m guessing because of Kristina’s latest boondoggle with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly). But instead of Alexis, we saw Ava stunned to see Kristina was at the house alone with Ric. Kristina and Ric were fighting about how sick and tired he is of her.
Kristina also let Ric know, “Yeah, I know you’ve been blackmailing my mom, Alexis.” Then Ric read Kristina for filth about getting the baby killed. He was blaming her and said that was the baby she planned to steal from Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos). Ric said either way, Molly was going to lose the baby because Kristina is selfish and awful. Then Ric said Kristina should be in prison for trying to kill Ava and almost killing him and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) instead.

What’s ironic about what happens next is Kristina was so enraged by Ric, she was about to kill him herself. She was ready to stab him with a letter opener and barely held herself back. That’s when Ava barged in and revealed she just found out Kristina was paying Cody to seduce her break up her and Ric.
Kristina and Ava started bickering, but things spun really out of control when Ric dropped the bombshell that he stole all the blackmail money from Ava’s bank accounts. She was screaming about Ric betraying her and he said Ava betrayed him first.
Then Ava picked up a round decorative stone thing from Alexis’ desk, and she bashed Ric right in the back of the head, and he went down hard. Kristina was stunned, watching Ric down on the floor, a bloody wound on the back of his head. He sure looks dead.
A Deadly Alliance: Ava’s Threat and the Cover-Up Begins
Coming up soon, General Hospital spoilers tell us that Ava threatens Kristina and tells her, “If I go down, she goes down.” So, this could be one of two things. It could be Alexis walks in on the mess. And Ava is telling her she will take down Kristina. And that’s the “she” that she means. Or Ava may be telling Kristina that she’ll destroy Alexis if she runs her mouth, and that could be the “she.”
Either way, the threat is going to work. Kristina and Ava are at a standoff. If Kristina turns in Ava for murdering Ric, well, then Ava can rat out Alexis for embezzling funds from little Ace Cassadine’s (Jay and Joey Clay) estate. And if it’s Alexis that she needs to scare, Ava can say she’ll turn Kristina in for her own attempted murder and two counts of attempted murder and grievous bodily injury to Ric and Liz.
Alexis’ Possible Involvement on General Hospital
Let’s be real, if Alexis is part of this and walks in to see Ric bloody, unconscious. And likely dead on her floor, I think Alexis’ main worry may be that if she can’t get the stain out of the carpet, she’s going to need to buy a new area rug. We all know Alexis hates Ric. So, at a minimum, at least we’ve got Ava and Kristina in this mess together, cooking up what I can only assume is going to be a cover-up.
Alexis may be in the mix, too, which would be very interesting. Spoilers for this week suggest that Ava won’t let Kristina, or possibly Alexis, turn her into the cops without them going to prison right along with her. That means they’re all at an impasse. And they really need to clean up this Ric mess. So, the Davis girls, or at least Kristina are probably about to cut a really slick deal with devilish Ava.
Is Ric Lansing Really Dead? General Hospital Spoilers Hint at a Murder Mystery
Now, we don’t know for sure that Ric is dead, but we assume he is. And we’ll know more on Tuesday’s episode. Then there are other spoilers later in the week that definitely point to his death. In case you forgot or never knew, a couple of months ago at a fan event, Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos Spencer) mentioned a murder mystery coming.
Everybody kept hoping that it was going to be Drew Cain Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) who met his maker, but instead, it looks like it is lawyer silver fox Ric. I’m still holding on to a slim hope that Ric survives because I absolutely adore actor Rick Hearst but it seems like a long shot he’ll survive.
Week Ahead: General Hospital Spoilers and the Fallout from Ric’s Demise
There are some spoilers for this week that point to Kristina and Ava cutting a deal on this Ric situation so they both avoid prison. First of all, on Tuesday, we have Ava threatening Kristina. Wednesday, General Hospital spoilers say Molly confronts Kristina, which is likely about the situation with Cody. If Molly’s mad now, wait until she finds out at some point that Kristina has been helping Ava cover up her dad Ric’s murder.
That’s going to be pretty awkward, but that probably won’t be for a while. So, how long until Molly goes looking for her dad, Ric? Or until Liz worries when Ric doesn’t show up for lunch plans they’ve made or something like that?
Body Disposal and New Suspects: Who Killed Ric Lansing?
In other GH spoilers this week, Danny Morgan (Asher Jared Antonyzyn) and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Frances Carr) are down by the pier. And they spot a body in the water. So maybe Ava and Kristina are going to toss Ric out like fish food, but they didn’t do a great job at body disposal. And he ends up at Pier 54. He wouldn’t be the first body found in the water there.
As much as Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) dislikes Ava, he might actually give her a high five for killing Molly’s dad because Sonny hates his awful brother, Ric. If it comes to it, Sonny might even help Kristina and Ava cover it up so his daughter isn’t implicated. I’m sure Alexis would likely tell Kristina not to involve Sonny. So, we’ll see.
Sonny Becomes a Suspect on General Hospital?
What’s interesting is with Ric’s body presumably turning up, we could see Kristina’s dad, Sonny, as a suspect in Ric’s laying since everybody knows he absolutely hates him. They could say, “Well, maybe Sonny killed him over the Michael (Rory Gibson) custody case because Ric was representing Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen),” which would kind of be perfect timing also for the judge bribery thing to come out because then Sonny would look like he’s willing to do anything to help Michael: bribe a judge, kill Willow’s lawyer, you know.
The Unlikely Partnership: Ava and Kristina’s Twisted Alliance on GH
Friday General Hospital spoilers say Elizabeth is taken aback, so I suspect she may find out Ric’s corpse was found off the pier. It certainly looks like he is dead. And Ava and Kristina are stuck working together, possibly with Alexis’ help. I do wonder if Ava and Kristina dump Ric’s body together. And that’s when the boys see him.
I hate they brought back Rick Hearst just to kill off his character, but this is a great twist in the storyline that just made things even messier between Ava and Kristina. They both hate each other intensely, but they’re going to be stuck in this twisted alliance. It’s definitely unexpected. I like it. It’s going to be a big mess.
Kristina & Ava Protect Each Other on General Hospital
Ava and Kristina are going to have to keep acting like enemies because anything else would be suspicious. But in secret, they’re going to be partners in crime. If it comes down to it and the murder leads back to them, they can actually still protect one another. Kristina could say that Ric was attacking her. And Ava struck him to save Kristina.
They can’t really say Ava hit him in self-defense since it’s in the back of the head. But if Ava did it defending Kristina, that would fit the facts of the case. So, I suspect in the end, Ava and Kristina are going to get away with what has happened to Ric because no one would ever suspect them of working together.
