Days of Our Lives may have drama ahead as Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) is about to get a big surprise after her blackout hookup with her estranged husband. We’re going to dive into whether there’s an unplanned pregnancy twist ahead on the NBC Peacock soap.
So, Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and Sarah made a big leap forward towards reconciliation, at least physically. They got hot and heavy during Salem’s big blackout. And when the lights were out and their toddler Victoria was asleep, those two hit the sack with no regrets. But will Sarah’s roll in the hay with Xander result in baby number two for the Kiriakis couple? Are we about to get another kid in nine months?
Sarah and Xander’s Eventful Week: Reconciliation and Lingering Lies
So, Sarah and Xander had a really big eventful week last week, to say the very least. Not only did they celebrate Victoria’s second birthday as a family, but Xander got a sincere apology from Sarah. Now, we all know Xander beat the starch out of his brother, Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier). And he didn’t deserve that apology from Sarah. But even Philip wants the assault kept hush-hush from everybody, including Sarah. So, that lingering lie that Xander told is likely going to cause issues for him and Sarah down the road. This hasn’t gone away.
New Baby for Sarah & Xander on DOOL?
So, what we are wondering in the meantime, though, is if Xander and Sarah’s blackout bedroom session leads to a little bundle of joy, a little brother or sister for Victoria sometime next year. Xander and Sarah fans were very excited to see their favorite couple, “Zara,” spending quality time together as a family and also in the bedroom. Xander was super excited to bring a rocking horse to the mansion for Victoria’s birthday. And everybody was very civil. Her uncle Philip brought a big pile of gifts to Victoria’s birthday bash. And he even made Xander carry them in for him, which was kind of a cute moment with him and Philip.
Not only that, but Xander didn’t even blow a gasket when he heard Sarah giving Philip the third degree again about the night he was beaten to a bloody pulp. Even with Sarah pressing him, Philip still covered for Xander and claimed he did not know the assailant. He keeps saying it was a stranger. So, Sarah finally realized, “Oh, okay. I’ve made a huge mistake. I have falsely accused my husband of this attack.” That’s what she feels is happening. But we all know the truth. Both Philip and Xander are lying about that beatdown, but nobody wants to tell Sarah.
The Path to Reconciliation: Truth, Therapy, and Potential Pregnancy
So, now that she’s finally convinced that Xander is innocent, we have Sarah apologizing to him. And it feels like things have really changed between them, and they’re headed in the right direction. It’s just based on false pretenses because that unearned apology is what spurred Xander to open up and let Sarah in again. But this issue isn’t going away.
So, in the meantime, Xander invited Sarah and little Victoria to stay with him when the blackout made it unsafe for them to drive back to the Kiriakis mansion for the night. And after Victoria went to bed, Sarah and Xander went to bed, and they weren’t getting any sleep. So, since Sarah and Xander have been living apart for many, many months, I’m wondering if Sarah let her birth control slide.
Sarah & Xander Reconnect
Maybe she wasn’t vigilant with it because she wasn’t worried about anything since Xander wasn’t around, and Sarah had no plans to hit the sheets with anybody else. I mean, she still loved him so much. Even when she thought he beat Philip, she still loved him. She was just angry and didn’t trust him. And after she and Xander had their night of passion this week, Sarah assured him that she had no regrets about them making love.
Sarah and Xander seemed so happy to be back in each other’s arms again, but they still have such a long way to go as a couple and as individuals. You know, Xander’s been attending anger management therapy sessions with Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). Plus, Sarah and Xander tentatively agreed that they would try marriage counseling together.
Marlena Presses Xander to Tell the Truth?
So, I wonder if Marlena is going to convince Xander that he has to come clean to Sarah about attacking Philip because with that secret looming over him, you know, he and Sarah cannot have a proper reconciliation. As long as that lie remains, they can’t really fall completely back in love and be the couple they once were. We all know Xander’s wicked temper freaks out Sarah on Days of our Lives.
At the same time, she knows that he would never lay a hand on her or their daughter, but it’s more that Sarah feels Xander is setting a poor example with this out-of-control temper of his. So, if Sarah ever found out the truth about Philip’s attack, there’s a chance she might not forgive Xander, and it could end them for good, especially because he stood there while Sarah apologized, and he acted like it was owed to him.
Will Xander Risk Losing Sarah on Days of Our Lives?
So, if Sarah was maybe laxed with her birth control and got pregnant during their blackout bedroom moment, you know, Xander may have to seriously consider whether he’s willing to risk losing her and Victoria and this other baby by either telling the truth or by keeping things hidden.
You know, he might debate which one is best and which one Sarah would most likely keep him if it happened that way. I mean, really, Xander needs to throw himself on Sarah’s mercy, tell the truth, beg forgiveness on his hands and knees. I mean, that seems like the only way that this ugliness with his attack on Philip can be reconciled and then put behind everybody.
Holiday Hopes: A Gradual Reconciliation and a Potential Baby Surprise
So, I would love to see Xander and Sarah grow their little family. But Sarah may not want to have any more kids with him or even work on their marriage if she knows the truth that he did indeed attack Philip. And right now, Sarah feels like a bad wife for accusing Xander of attacking Philip, and that’s just the opposite of the truth.
And we know the truth always comes out eventually in Salem. Plus, our leaker said that the big reconciliation between Xander and Sarah is going to be a gradual process that may not be totally done until we hit the holidays this year. So, what happened during that blackout was a moment in time. It was the beginning of a process.
It was not the end of the process and a resolution. But we could see Xander and Sarah spending the holidays together this year. Fingers crossed. And maybe Xander will get a big happy surprise if Sarah tells him they are expecting another child.
