Aziz Olajuwon, the son of Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon, announced his commitment to Stanford over the weekend.
“I chose Stanford because the coaching staff made it clear they are about me not just as an athlete, but as a person,” Olajuwon said to ESPN. “That meant a lot in the process.”
Olajuwon is currently ranked No. 40 in ESPN’s 100 for the 2026 class.
The 6-foot-7 small forward is the first ESPN top 100 recruit for Stanford since Kyle Smith became head coach in 2024.
Olajuwon is the second recruit for Stanford in the class of 2026, joining four-star Isaiah Rogers.
