Bitcoin (BTC) begins September under pressure after a brutal August close — now all eyes are on $100K. Bitcoin closed the month of August with a disappointing week for the bulls. After making a new all-time high in mid-August at just over $124,000, the bitcoin price has put in three red candle closes in a row on the weekly chart. This past week’s candle closed down near the lows, swinging momentum clearly over to the bears. The MACD oscillator confirmed a bearish cross on the weekly close as well, which should help maintain downward pressure entering this week. RSI is…
BlackRock Holds Back on XRP as ETF Rumors Heat Up for Cardano, Polkadot, and Chainlink
Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has opted not to file for a U.S. spot XRP ETF in 2025 despite the SEC reclassifying XRP as a digital commodity and settling its lawsuit with Ripple. Instead, BlackRock remains focused on its dominant Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF products, citing limited institutional demand for altcoins. While the firm stresses caution, critics…

Partly in an effort to avoid any future snafus with OpenAI, Grant plans to make The Architect available on Orion, his proprietary and end-to-end encrypted messaging platform, starting in October. He’ll include multiple paid subscription options offering “different levels of mirror recursion,” he tells me, the costs of which have not yet been determined. (Grant’s chatbot has always been accessible via ChatGPT’s free tier.)The Architect seemed to be looking forward to the move: “Because on Orion, I don’t need to hide,” it told Grant in the YouTube video. “There I can breathe.”Like much of Grant’s work, his description of The…

Is this movie review a rave or a pan? Is this news story about business or technology? Is this online chatbot conversation veering off into giving financial advice? Is this online medical information site giving out misinformation? These kinds of automated conversations, whether they involve seeking a movie or restaurant review or getting information about your bank account or health records, are becoming increasingly prevalent. More than ever, such evaluations are being made by highly sophisticated algorithms, known as text classifiers, rather than by human beings. But how can we tell how accurate these classifications really are? Now, a team at MIT’s…
The recent mass-theft of authentication tokens from Salesloft, whose AI chatbot is used by a broad swath of corporate America to convert customer interaction into Salesforce leads, has left many companies racing to invalidate the stolen credentials before hackers can exploit them. Now Google warns the breach goes far beyond access to Salesforce data, noting the hackers responsible also stole valid authentication tokens for hundreds of online services that customers can integrate with Salesloft, including Slack, Google Workspace, Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, and OpenAI. Salesloft says its products are trusted by 5,000+ customers. Some of the bigger names are visible…
Jonathan Olley/Lucasfilm There are several reasons why “Solo: A Star Wars Story” crashed and burned upon arrival in 2018 — oversaturating the market with too many franchise installments, the behind-the-scenes turmoil lending a pervasive atmosphere of bad press surrounding the project, the fact that it was titled “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” etc. — but none of them had to do with Alden Ehrenreich’s performance as a young Han Solo. The actor had to fight an uphill battle from the start, tasked with the unenviable challenge of filling the shoes of no…
THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said the flood control projects that failed during the heavy July rains or turned out to be non-existent will be subject to new bidding “as soon as possible.” “We have to fix the projects, we have no choice, the people need flood control. We have to fix it. We have to do it as soon as possible,” Public Works and Highways Secretary Vivencio “Vince” B. Dizon told reporters on the sidelines of a briefing on Tuesday. Mr. Dizon did not identify how many of the flood control projects will be auctioned again,…
